This performance tells the story of Hanoman, who is sent by Sri Rama to locate Dewi Sita in Alengka, and his fierce battle against Rahwana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGeseng Alengka\u201d recounts the tale of Hanoman\u2019s mission to the Kingdom of Alengka to search for and rescue Dewi Sita. However, the evil Rahwana commands his forces to burn Hanoman alive. With his supernatural powers, Hanoman breaks free and retaliates by setting the city of Alengka ablaze.<\/p>\n<p>This Kecak performance offers more than mesmerizing movements and the hypnotic \u201ccak-cak-cak\u201d chants that define the art form. It also weaves dramatic and theatrical elements into the experience, transporting the audience into an intense and magical atmosphere as they witness Hanoman\u2019s courage and strength in the face of grave evil.<\/p>\n<p>Jawadwipa Amphitheatre at TMII\u2019s West Java Pavilion has become an ideal venue to enjoy the beauty of Kecak dance without having to travel all the way to Bali.
