Exploring TMII is incomplete without a ride on the sky lift, where each stop becomes a window to the diversity and wonders of the archipelago. From the beginning, the sky lift has always been a favorite. As if flying through the sky, this attraction pioneered transportation for tourist destinations in Indonesia.
The vast expanse of TMII cannot be fully explored on foot. To complement the various ground transportation facilities in the area, the sky lift emerges as a recreational ride and an exploration mode that allows visitors to trace the charm of the Indonesian archipelago from Sabang to Merauke from a unique perspective.
Undoubtedly, the beauty of the Regional Pavilions, the map of Indonesia in the Archipelago area, and the rows of museums and places of worship become even more enchanting when viewed from above. The green landscape covering the TMII area, with its lushness, can be enjoyed in the coolness of the sky lift.
In total, there are 81 cabins and three stations that will take visitors soaring through the air, which are Station A on the east side of the southern parking lot in the arts and crafts village, Station B opposite the Papua Pavilion near the Bird Park, and Station C hidden on the north side of the northern parking lot. While traveling on the sky lift, visitors will be taken around one full round from the first station to the second station and back to the original station.
Managed by PT Skylift Indonesia, a part of PT Astra International Tbk., since April 9, 1973, this sky transportation system was launched during the inauguration of TMII. The sky lift ride is priced at Rp50,000 for Monday-Friday and Rp60,000 for Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays.
