CABLE CAR RIDE

Exploring TMII is not complete without boarding the Cable Car Ride, where every stop becomes a window to the richness and wonders of the Indonesian archipelago. Since its early days, the Cable Car Ride has been a crowd favorite. As if soaring through the sky, this attraction was one of the pioneers of tourism transportation in Indonesia.

With TMII’s vast grounds, walking alone won’t suffice to uncover its full splendor. Complementing various ground transportation options, the Cable Car Ride serves not only as a leisure ride but also as a unique exploration mode, allowing visitors to experience Indonesia’s diversity—from Sabang to Merauke—from a whole new perspective.

There’s no doubt that the scenic beauty of the Regional Pavilions, the Archipelago area map, rows of museums, and houses of worship becomes even more breathtaking from above. The lush greenery of TMII’s grounds unfolds beneath you, offering a cool and refreshing view from the Cable Car.

In total, the Skylift has 81 cabins and three stations ready to take visitors on an aerial journey. Station A is located east of the southern parking lot near the Arts and Crafts Village. Station B stands across from the Papua Pavilion near the “Taman Burung” Bird Park. Station C is nestled on the northern side of the north parking lot. During the ride, visitors will be taken on a full round trip from the starting station to the next and back again.

This aerial tourism transport system has been managed by PT Skylift Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk., since April 9, 1973. Launched in conjunction with TMII’s grand opening, the Cable Car Ride is now available for IDR 50,000 on weekdays (Monday–Friday) and IDR 60,000 on weekends and national holidays.
