TMII Partners with Parle to Develop Caping Gunung
Jakarta, 3 September 2024 – Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Parle to revitalize and develop Caping Gunung, located within the TMII complex in Jakarta.
The MoU was signed by Intan Ayu Kartika, President Director of TMII, and Antonius Adi Kristanto, President Director of Parle, at Parle, Senayan Park, Jakarta, on Monday, 2 September 2024.
Caping Gunung was previously a restaurant within the TMII area, known for its unique architecture inspired by the traditional conical caping hat, and offering a stunning view overlooking TMII’s Archipelago Lake.
“After the revitalization, Caping Gunung remained idle. We believe it is necessary to develop this asset to meet the growing culinary needs within TMII, as well as to improve service quality and overall visitor satisfaction,” said Intan Ayu Kartika, President Director of TMII.
Based on this vision, TMII and Parle have agreed to transform Caping Gunung into a Fine Dining Restaurant. This initiative aims to expand the culinary options available to TMII visitors. The restaurant will feature a Nusantara cuisine concept, offering authentic Indonesian dishes from Sabang to Merauke. Its main concept is Experience Dining, where visitors can enjoy a curated fine dining experience, from appetizers to dessert, with elevated presentation and immersive culinary storytelling.
“This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing TMII’s services and visitor experience. Parle’s successful outlet at Senayan Park has proven their capability, and we believe their presence at TMII will become a new crowd-puller and offer a more refined culinary option for our guests,” she added.
The Parle outlet at TMII is scheduled to open in December 2024, in time to serve guests during the busy Christmas and New Year holiday season.
