TMII Holds the 40th Nusantara Dance Parade

Jakarta – Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) proudly presents the 40th edition of the Nusantara Dance Parade, a longstanding annual celebration and one of TMII’s most iconic cultural preservation programs.

This year’s parade, held at Sasono Langen Budoyo, TMII, carries the theme “Jelajah Mantra Nusantara” or Exploring the Spells of the Archipelago. The event showcases movements and rhythms in traditional dances that encapsulate powerful messages and ancestral wisdom embedded in the history, values, and cultural heritage of Indonesia.

As one of the country’s leading cultural landmarks, TMII remains steadfast in its mission to preserve, nurture, and promote Indonesia’s diverse cultural legacy. With Culture as one of its core pillars, TMII serves as a vital space that embraces and celebrates the rich diversity of Indonesia’s traditions. It not only presents the nation’s architectural and natural beauty but also provides a dynamic platform for people across the country to explore, understand, and appreciate Indonesia’s cultural wealth.

Through the Nusantara Dance Parade, now in its 40th year, TMII continues to affirm its role as an inclusive cultural stage for all. The parade is not just an artistic gathering for dance performers from across the archipelago, it is a living testament to TMII’s commitment to strengthening unity through diversity. Each performance represents the vibrant identity of our nation’s culture and embodies our shared responsibility to keep it alive and thriving.

“The Nusantara Dance Parade is a manifestation of TMII’s commitment to preserving and promoting Indonesia’s cultural heritage. Several provinces will showcase spectacular performances as they compete for the rotating TMII Trophy,” said Intan Ayu Kartika, President Director of TMII.

This year, 14 provinces will compete for the TMII Rotating Trophy, including South Kalimantan, Banten, Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, Bengkulu, Lampung, West Papua, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung, North Kalimantan, DKI Jakarta, Riau Islands, West Java, and Aceh—each ready to deliver spectacular cultural showcases.

“We are very grateful to the 14 provinces participating in this 40th edition of the Nusantara Dance Parade. We hope that in the coming years, even more provinces will join—ideally all provinces across Indonesia,” Intan added.

The Nusantara Dance Parade is open to the public at no additional cost—visitors simply need to purchase an entrance ticket to TMII, available online at www.tamanmini.com or on-site using non-cash payment methods. For those arriving by public transportation, there is a TransJakarta bus stop at TMII’s main entrance, and a free shuttle service is available between the TMII LRT Station Lobby and the TMII Tourist Information Center.
