Selamat datang di Jambi!
Nestled at the heart of Sumatra, this province embraces the mysteries of nature and captivating historical remnants. Here, Lake Gunung Tujuh unfolds a breathtaking scenery with a backdrop of volcanic mountains, while wonders await at Lake Kaco, where the water is as clear as glass.
Nature’s spectacle is not the only thing welcoming you to Jambi; its culinary offerings are equally enchanting. Dishes like Tempoyak Ikan Patin, Gulai Tepek Ikan, Nasi Gemuk, Kerutup Ikan, and others stand as hidden gems for seafood enthusiasts.
At the Jambi Pavilion in TMII, visitors can see Rumah Bertiang or the traditional house of Sepucuk Jambi Sembin Lurah, and a swan boat named Kajang Lako, which serves as a traditional symbol of Jambi. The boat itself takes center stage in official ceremonies such as weddings, used by the bride and family to navigate the river after the ceremony.
Jambi’s nature is also depicted in the portrayal of the Batanghari River adorning the pavilion area, complemented by statues of elephants, tigers, and bears. In the courtyard, visitors are welcomed by teratak, used for rice pounding.
