One of the most popular is the Tirta Cerita Musical Fountain Show, held at Promenade Plaza. This spectacular performance is free of charge for all TMII visitors and has become a must-see highlight ever since it premiered.
A Fusion of Art and Technology
Dubbed a modern cultural performance, Tirta Cerita combines cutting-edge water screen technology with animation inspired by legendary Indonesian folklore. The show is enhanced by traditional musical arrangements, dynamic lighting, and even a 300-drone light show on weekends. This captivating blend of sound and visuals doesn’t just bring beloved folktales back to life, it creates a magical viewing experience you won’t soon forget.
Folktales from the Archipelago
The animated water screen retells iconic legends from across Indonesia, including stories like Ande-Ande Lumut, Bawang Merah & Bawang Putih, The Clever Mouse-Deer and the Crocodile, Roro Jonggrang, Malin Kundang, and many more. Whether you grew up with these tales or are discovering them for the first time, they’re sure to spark joy and nostalgia.
The Tirta Cerita show is held daily at 6:45 PM at Promenade Plaza and runs for approximately 20 minutes. If you’re visiting on the weekend, you’ll also get to enjoy an exclusive drone light show illuminating the night sky, adding even more magic to your TMII experience.
This isn’t just any fountain show, Tirta Cerita is Southeast Asia’s largest water-and-drone performance! Curious to see it for yourself? Come and experience the wonder, only at TMII.
