Indonesia’s rich diversity of ethnic groups and cultures represents a remarkable legacy of the archipelago, etched through the stories of the past that have shaped its history and built the nation. As an educational and cultural tourism destination, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) presents 15 museums that capture the stories of Indonesian life and heritage across different eras. Each museum is dedicated to educating the public and deepening their understanding of the country’s social history, civilization, culture, and technological development.
From the Museum Indonesia, Indonesia Science Center, and Transportation Museum, to the Komodo Museum & Reptile Park, these spaces invite visitors to witness the country’s past while offering insights into the present and glimpses of the future. A wide range of interactive activities is also part of the museum experience—encouraging visitors to learn through engaging exhibits such as film screenings, batik-making, electricity demonstrations, and even exploring through Virtual Reality (VR) technology.
