The Museum of Electricity and New Energy (MLEB) is a science museum managed by PT PLN (Persero) and located within Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). The museum is responsible for collecting, researching, communicating, and exhibiting historical heritage and valuable artifacts in the fields of electricity and renewable energy. Its scope includes general historical aspects, the history of basic sciences, the development of interactive science and technology displays, and the use of various energy sources across different sectors of society. These exhibitions serve educational, research, and entertainment purposes.
The architectural design of the museum is inspired by the structure of an atom, featuring a central building symbolizing the nucleus surrounded by three orbiting electrons. This concept is realized through the Electricity Pavilion at the center, surrounded by three other pavilions: the New Energy Pavilion, the Fossil Energy Pavilion, and the Conventional Energy Pavilion.
MLEB also provides additional facilities to enhance visitor experience. These include a children’s playground, a 5D theater, guest accommodations, meeting rooms, sports fields, a mosque, and lush green open spaces, creating a comfortable and modern environment for visitors to enjoy memorable moments.
