50th Pujawali Celebration of Pura Penataran Agung Kertabhumi TMII
Jakarta, October 16, 2024 – Pura Penataran Agung Kertabhumi, a sacred Hindu temple complex located within Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), will commemorate its 50th Pujawali on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Pujawali is a Hindu religious ritual observed as a form of reverence, worship, and offering to the Supreme God in His divine manifestation as Ida Betara.
As an expression of gratitude and to mark the temple’s long spiritual journey, a series of events titled “Festival of Arts and Culture” will be held, featuring captivating performances of Balinese dances that enrich the spiritual atmosphere of the celebration.
“TMII fully supports the celebration of this Pujawali. This event not only serves as a sacred moment for Hindu devotees but also provides an opportunity to showcase Indonesia’s cultural richness to a broader audience,” said Intan Ayu Kartika, President Director of TMII.
Visitors can enjoy traditional Balinese dances such as Tari Pendet, Tari Rejang Taksu Bhuwana, Tari Rejang Dedari, Tari Panji Semirang, Tari Kembang Girang, Tari Kebyar Duduk, and Tari Pelegongan Mesatya—each carrying deep spiritual and aesthetic significance. These performances will take place at the Taman Legenda Courtyard within TMII.
The Pujawali Festival of Arts and Culture is open to the public at no additional cost—visitors only need to purchase a TMII entry ticket, which is available online via www.tamanmini.com or on-site through non-cash payment methods.
For public transportation users, a TransJakarta bus stop is available at the TMII entrance, along with a free shuttle service that transports visitors between the TMII LRT Station Lobby and the TMII Tourist Information Center.
