Arya Dwipa Arama Vihara is a sacred Buddhist temple located within the grounds of TMII. Inspired by the majestic Borobudur Temple, the architecture features distinctive Buddhist stupas adorned with the sacred symbols of the Chakra, Prapta, and Patina Suta—each a reminder of the ever-turning wheel of life.
Stepping into the vihara, visitors are embraced by a sense of peace and serenity, as if entering a glimpse of nirvana. The prayer hall is adorned with a golden yellow semi-domed ceiling, a seated Buddha statue facing west, and a tranquil water pond encircling the structure.
Beyond a place of worship, the vihara also serves as a center of devotion for Buddhists—serving daily spiritual practices, major religious celebrations, and educational purposes. On Vesak Day and during Tilem (new moon) or full moon ceremonies, the vihara becomes the site of solemn and sacred celebrations. Additionally, Arya Dwipa Arama plays an important role in preserving and sharing knowledge about Buddhism in Indonesia.
