Vihara Arya Dwipa Arama is a place of worship for the Buddhist community located in the TMII area. Inspired by the Borobudur Temple, this vihara’s architecture follows the distinctive stupa pattern of the Buddhist faith adorned with symbols like Cakra, Prapta, and Patina Suta. These symbols serve as a reminder that the wheel of human life continually turns.
Upon entering, visitors will feel as though they have stepped into a captivating and serene nirvana. The prayer space is adorned with a semi-circular golden ceiling, a Buddha statue seated on the western side, and a surrounding water pond that enhances the overall ambiance of the building.
The vihara serves not only as a place of worship but also as a center for devotion for the Buddhist community, contributing to their daily routines, significant celebrations, and educational activities. On Vesak Day and Tilem Day or full moon nights, Vihara Arya Dwipa Arama hosts solemn ceremonies. Moreover, the vihara serves as a hub for gathering information about Buddhism in Indonesia.
