Tirta Cerita Fountain is a magical stage of storytelling through water, where cascading fountains and dazzling lights merge in perfect harmony. This mesmerizing spectacle combines water choreography with radiant illumination, bringing together echoes of the past and the pulse of the present in a modern musical performance titled Tirta Cerita. It is a unique fusion of art and technology, presenting fragments of Indonesian folklore through a contemporary lens.
Adding to the wonder, a fleet of 300 drones takes to the skies every weekend and public holiday, animating the sky with stories from the archipelago. Tales such as Mouse-Deer and the Crocodile, Roro Jonggrang, Malin Kundang, and other beloved legends are reimagined into vibrant displays that captivate with every second.
Featuring enchanting musical arrangements and imaginative video mapping, this open-air show is free for all TMII visitors. The magic unfolds in the Archipelago Area, precisely at Plaza Promenade, in front of the Yogyakarta (DIY) Pavilion. Catch the spectacular performance every day at 6:30 PM (WIB).
In addition, the Tirta Menari show now graces TMII with a daily dancing fountain performance accompanied by traditional Indonesian music. These performances are held Monday to Thursday at 1:00 PM, Friday at 2:00 PM, and on weekends and public holidays at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM (WIB).
