The Dancing Fountain is a stage of imagination on a water screen that creates a mesmerizing visual spectacle. Water fountains meet mesmerizing lights, harmonizing the water dance with glittering brilliance. The charm of the past and the breath of the present converge in a modern musical performance titled Tirta Cerita, a collaboration of art and technology narrating excerpts from Indonesian folklore.
The presence of 300 drones soaring in the sky on the weekends and national holidays adds vibrancy to the stage, presenting animated forms of the archipelago’s local fairy tales. The tales of Kancil (mouse-deer) and Crocodile, Roro Jonggrang, Malin Kundang, and various other legends are encapsulated in a modern storytelling that presents elegance in every moment.
Featuring captivating music arrangements and imaginative video mapping, this artistic presentation is open to all TMII visitors, inviting them to traverse through time in the Archipelago area, at the Plaza Promenade, in front of the D.I. Yogyakarta pavilion. Witness its magic every day from 6.30 PM.
Furthermore, there is also the new Tirta Menari dancing fountain performance that is complemented by regional musical arrangements, presented daily, Monday – Thursday at 1 PM, Friday at 2 PM, and showing time on the weekends and national holidays at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM.
