Take a Peek at the Works of Local Artists at the Contemporary Art Gallery TMII!
Hello, Explorer Friends!
Did you know that TMII now has an exciting new cultural destination to explore? If not, you might be missing out. This one’s definitely worth a visit! Let AnJel take you on a quick tour of the Contemporary Art Gallery.
The Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) is a curated exhibition space at TMII that serves as a stage for artistic expression. More than just showcasing Indonesia’s cultural heritage, TMII also provides a creative platform for artists to present their works. In addition to viewing the exhibitions, visitors can also participate in various activities such as painting on mini canvases and tote bags, creating pop-up 3D artwork, and even joining poetry reading sessions through the “Mendadak Puitis” open mic program.
Each month, the gallery features a new theme, ensuring a fresh and dynamic experience for returning visitors. From 3 February to 3 March 2024, the featured exhibition is titled “Someone, Something, Somewhere.” In this edition, you’ll find a diverse range of artworks, from traditional paintings to creative pieces made using recycled materials. Every piece is accompanied by a short note from the artist, reflecting their personal stories and perspectives on everyday life and broader social themes.
Among the many works showcased in the “Someone, Something, Somewhere” exhibition, which one catches your eye the most?

Aren’t they amazing? AnJel is always in awe of the creativity and thought put into every artwork on display at CAG TMII. Huge appreciation goes to all the artists who have shared their exceptional and inspiring creations.
Feeling inspired to see the artworks in person? Come visit the Contemporary Art Gallery at TMII, open daily from 08.00 AM to 05.00 PM. Admission is only Rp25,000 per person! For more information, head over to www.tamanmini.com. See you soon, Explorer Friends!
